Virtual HAES Support Group

This support group is exclusively for individuals of all genders, 18 and older, who have current or past struggles with binge eating as well as experience living in marginalized bodies in our thin-obsessed, fat-phobic culture. This group is intended to provide a safe and non-judgmental space for folx within the ED community who might feel underrepresented or unheard in their unique struggles with food and body image. Through connection and fellowship, group members will receive support in exploring and processing their experiences of making peace with food in a diet-centric world. We will also explore resources and provide information regarding the concepts of Health at Every Size and Body Liberation.

When & Where: Mondays from 5:30 to 6:30 PM via Google Meet

Facilitated by: Kelly Ulmer, LPC, CEDS-S

This group is currently FULL but accepting clients on a waitlist to start in May 2023.

Important Group Therapy Information

All potential group members must schedule an intake and pre-group orientation at Bloom prior to beginning group services.

Most of our groups run on a seasonal schedule with new spots opening every Fall (September), Winter (January), and Summer (May). After this seasonal enrollment, our groups "close" for the next 12-week period until the next cycle of enrollment.

Our Recovery Skills group does not run on a seasonal schedule. Rather, our Skills group is always "open" and continuously accepting new members if space is available.

The fee for each group is $50 per session. We accept BCBS and RMHP for most of our groups. Please contact us at (970) 893-7600 or info@bloomcounselingandnutrition.com for more information on fees, insurance, and enrollment.
